Zongyi (Joy) graduated from one of the best medical schools in
Beijing, China and holds dual graduate degrees: Master of Clinical
Medicine and Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She then
moved to the United States and completed a second master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Texas Health and Science
University. Continuing her academic journey, she achieved a Doctoral degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from Five Branches University.
Prior to studying acupuncture, Joy attended chiropractic school in her homeland of Taiwan, and became a licensed Chiropractor. There she gained a vast wealth of knowledge about the spine, nervous system, muscles, movement, exercise, and nutrition.
Joy has successfully treated a wide variety of conditions using
acupuncture and Chinese herbs, such as: chronic pain, headache,
migraine, sciatica, fibromyalgia, chronic cough, and side effects
associated with cancer therapy. She is also skilled at the healing
arts of acupressure, moxibustion, and cupping.
Joy is passionate about her work and believes wholeheartedly in the
practice of acupuncture and oriental medicine. An avid learner, she
regularly reads the latest research articles about treatment
techniques in Chinese Medicine. Joy is naturally empathetic and an
excellent listener, both of which aid her in quickly identifying the
causes of pain and other health symptoms in her patients. She is
devoted to providing high-quality, compassionate, and effective
Oriental Medicine care to all who seek her healing touch.
